Nalin Liyanamana, Director of Finance and Administration
As the Director of Finance and Administration Nalin Liyanamana manages the day-to-day financial operations. Ensure cost effectiveness of the operations and the timely payment of grantees, vendors, payroll and other accounts payable. Nalin is responsible for the development of Opportunity@Work’s financial management strategy and contribute to the development of the organization’s strategic goals. In addition to the strategic component, Nalin is charged with developing and implementing policies and procedures both in finance and general operations realms.
Nalin Liyanamana was the Vice President of Finance and Administration at The Hitachi Foundation prior to joining Opportunity@Work. The Hitachi Foundation was a non-profit organization that operated as a catalyst for firms to create and sustain quality jobs by drawing attention to innovative business approaches. The Foundation also created value at the intersection of people and profit, accelerated the pace of in two areas – work in the innovation economy and entrepreneurship.
Prior to joining The Hitachi Foundation, Nalin was the Director of Finance for URAC. URAC is an independent, not-for-profit corporation that is dedicated to promoting continuous improvement in the quality and efficiency of health care delivery by achieving a common understanding of excellence among purchasers, providers, and patients through the establishment of standards, education programs, and accreditation process. Mr. Liyanamana has over 20 years of experience working with non-profit organizations.
