We plan to accelerate our work this year through the Department of Labor & Training 2017 RealJobs Rhode Island TechHire grant, which includes six major areas of focus:

  • Sourcing job ready, skilled Rhode Islanders through education partners and community-based organizations
  • Integrating Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) to source job-ready talent
  • Talent sourcing incentives
  • Search engine optimization, online, and digital marketing
  • Rhode Island campaigns and events
  • Attracting new companies to Rhode Island

By expanding employer and community and education partner outreach while growing a suite of employer-designed technical assessments that will help organizations to hire Rhode Islanders based on skill over academic pedigree, more validated candidates will be featured for TechHiring employers on our inclusive hiring platform, http://TechHire.Careers. Very simply, if they can do the job, they should get the job; this is how we screen IN the overlooked and underrepresented, growing Rhode Island #skillsthatmatter for #jobsthatpay.
